About Us
The Historic Building Advisory Service (HBAS), as well as being Chartered Building Surveyors, is a specialist heritage consultancy providing independent advice and assistance on all aspects of historic buildings, man-made structure or landscape dating from before 1945. This ranges from Bronze Age tumuli, medieval barns or Georgian houses to Art-Deco flats and Second World War pillboxes.
Amongst our services we deliver: condition surveys, historic impact assessments, repair specifications, re-use and redevelopment appraisals, planning, design work, party wall matters and archaeological investigations, as well as advice on the repair, conservation and restoration of historic buildings and their fabric.
We work with the public, professionals, land and estate managers, builders and developers, conservation bodies, and local government across the UK and Europe in all sectors of the built heritage including domestic, commercial, industrial, agricultural, religious, transport. All our services are tailored to each client’s needs to provide a cost effective professional service.
