About Us

We have extensive experience with older and period buildings which allows us to advise at purchase and on the design and alteration of such properties including extensions and refurbishment in sympathy with the type of property whilst incorporating modern living requirements, taking account of listed Building Requirements and other constraints.

We pride our self on taking an individual and personal approach to all projects and providing a bespoke service with a wealth of experience of over 10 years in practice as DADS and over 35 years as Building Surveyors.

Residential Property - If you are looking to buy a house or other property it will probably be the biggest single investment you make and whether you are buying a good or a bad property can be difficult to know. We can help with a professional and independent survey of the property. We can tailor the survey to suit your needs and budget and report accordingly. We can meet you at the property after our survey and run through the main points before sending you the report.

We can inspect and report on anything from a brand new house to a centuries old listed building and have extensive experience with older properties.

Once you own a property it will need maintaining and we can advise on maintenance as well as analyse defects and specify remedial actions.

Commercial Property - For commercial property owners we can inspect prior to purchase or leasehold agreement and provide a full building survey or schedule of condition for negotiation with the vendor or landlord. At the end of a lease you may be liable for repairs to the building and we can advise on the technical aspects of dilapidations.

Building Projects - If you’re not sure where to start with a building project, or you need some help, we understand how complex and time-consuming managing building projects can be. Let us help guide you through the process or deal with all or part of it on your behalf.

We have extensive experience in Building Design, Project Management and Contract Administration. We also work closely with the Local Authority Planning Officers across the region. All Planning Applications are submitted electronically, as are Building Regulation Applications, making the process quick and straightforward.

We are proud to be well respected for our knowledge of all types of building and appropriate and measured reporting of the condition of these to clients as well as our knowledge of historical buildings and sympathetic approach to restoration and alteration. We also specialise in period house survey, refurbish and adaptation.
