About Us
Ian became a professional member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1987 and a member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in January 2000.
He is past chair of the Building Surveying Professional Group Board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Scotland. Further qualifications include a Level 7 BTEC Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence.
Since graduating in 1985, Ian has always worked in private practice providing a full range of building surveying services on commercial, retail, industrial and residential properties.
As a renowned dilapidations surveyor, he has also been appointed as an independent expert in the Court of Session and receives appointments both independently and through professional bodies as the Arbitrator in dilapidations disputes.
Other professional activities include development monitoring, project management, building conservation and restoration, pre-acquisition and pre-purchase survey and general consultancy advice on commercial properties.
